Just received and installed my Thorley system today. I'm quite pleased with the quality of the product and its performance--although I've only put a couple o' miles on it so far.
Great service, too. Bought it on Monday and received it on Wednesday!
HELP!!!How did you get to the two bolts on the muffler?

Removing the 3 screws was a breeze (thanks Nick) without removing panels or moving heat shields.
I have no mechanic skills and I was able to do it.
I agree with you it sounds better and has more pep.
To answer your question and I was wondering the same thing about the heat; ran my car for 2 hours around LA and put my hand on the back up and lower plastic and it was warm but not any warmer than with the stock muffler.

Got the DT last night. Tried to get to the 2 muffler bolts off with either E12-10 box rachet wrench, seems I could not to reach it or get it on the bolts. Then tried with a E 12 3/8 socket . Also seems like there is little if no room to do it. I do know its me , because you folks have done it. So if you can pass on any help, it would be greatly apprecated.

Try removing the rear panel instead of just the lower valence. Here's some info on that:
I didn't have to do this but it will give you more room to work. The heat shield bolts came of fairly easily, 2 from above and the far driver side one from below. I slid way under the car to get to the muffler bolts to take them off and put them back on. Also, I used a ratcheting box wrenche for the heat shield bolts Hope this helps.

ps THE KICK IT OFF TRICK, IS THE BEST!!!
After having on a week or so , it does have a loud drone at 60-75MPH. I do hope it does quite down. Sort of a bass sound that does get to you. I feel that its worse with the windows closed and A/C on. At country speeds 45-55MPH sound real good!!! Maybe its me! Or I will get used to it. Wife HATES IT!! Does help lag and off line performance, with the K@N filter. Definate power Boost.
Got mine in Wendsday, I will be installing it tomorrow morning after the car has cooled overnight. Plan to go right out and fill it up with 93 octane and get some solid Mpg data.
Nice welds.
Oooohh.... shiny!!!!
Modded the intake too.
I have got to get my nice camera fixed so I can take some decent pics... phone is ok.. but it's not my S1-IS.
Anyone have any tips on removing the right and left "rods" on the stock exhaust (not sure what they're called) that are in the rubber pieces? I'm having trouble getting those out...
