Only if it was a 77-84 MK 1 Diesel or 85-92 MK2 diesel. The TDi's are gonna smoke ya so don't think just because it's a diesel you have a shot. ;)

My thoughts exactly. It seems like economy cars are always trying show me they're faster from a light - too funny. I'm just thinking, "Give it a rest, I'm slow, you're slow...nobody can even tell you're racing".

Yeah, I beat a Z06 off the line at a stop light. He just didn't know I was racing, er, trying to get in his lane.

I was next to a very nicely moded evo(extremely healthy engine) at the stop light and I took off half throttle and pulled past him, wasn't racing him, smarts are just quick from 5-30 mph. Hit every stop light. He thought I was racing him by the third light heading out of town. He got up to about 45 alittle in front of me and at the 55mph sign he smoked the tires and for about thirty feet, and settled in at about 65. I was very impressed. Young kid, didn't get all squirrely right away. He just wanted to prove a point. Smarts aren't slow. But they deffinately aren't muscle cars. With suspension mods they are very fun in the twisties. Even with the exhaust and intake mods I've done It still needs alot more hp to be really fun. Smartuki please.
