I lost 3-4 mpg using the BPP, from 38mpg average to 35 average. I will let you know what the DTH is after a couple of tanks.
Was your BPP the Sport Version?

BPP offers on all ther exhausts a Touring or Sport version, the Sport being about 12% louder over their Touring.

I remember reading here that other members mentioned the BPP is quieter than the DTH.

Mine was the Sport Version, there was no Touring version when I bought mine 2 months ago or at least it wasn't offered to me as an option. The BPP tips don't shake as much as the DTH tips for center exhaust, it's just enough shake to kiss my body kit. I'll trim more off this weekend.

I had the "Sport" Breathless twin and I thought it was a tad too loud for our quiet neighborhood.

My wife and kids loved it though. I now have the "Touring" Breathless twin and the sound is sweet.

Both models are very well made and Ernie's customer service is top notch.

I can't talk about the other exhaust options, DTH and Twin-Evil, as I have not seen or tested them yet.

thanks WilyB for the note. It sounds like most think BPP's "sport" dual is too loud. how's the touring sound on the highway?

I have the Breathless and it is great.

it gets me more power and more milage. I get to choose. the harder I press on the go pedal, the less milage I get. the lowest I got so far is 36 mpg per tank when I drove the piss out of it to see what it did to the performance. I really drove it hard and still got 36. Now I am getting around 46mpg per tank being light on the pedal. I think if I was super conservitave and didn't use the air conditioning I could get over 50 on my trips from Sacramento to Redding on I-80. I also added the scoop and a K&N filter. the filter and the scoop really helped, much more than I thought they would. It makes sense, I cannot get any more air out if I cannot get any more air in.

I have the DTH twin tip. Love them. 4smartCar.com was excellent to work with.

I like the sound. it is not raspy and has no drone or loud parts through the power band. it is louder than stock and I like it. not like high school loud, like sports car loud.

I have one of the first Breathless center twin-tip touring exhausts. I also put in the motorcycle baffles to quiet it down a bit more. Now it seems just right to me. Not too loud, great looks - especially when combined with Billet and Acrylics trim kit. Since I put on the Schmidt 16's (W/Yokohama S-drives) - the car now seems like the additional version that should have been available initially - the Smart Sport.
