Dumped (Re: springs and shocks)

I finally got my KW V2 coilovers installed It was WELL worth the wait!

I really have to give Pete and his crew from Works much thanks for working through all the issues with the Bilstein coilovers, and getting the KW's over from Germany in such a short period of time!

OK, onto my initial review:

1) Ride height is set to lowest settings, and is perfect for my taste (prob too low for many people)...I like to dump my cars

2) The KW's come with shortened shocks, so despite my low ride height, the ride is very comfortable. There is no bottoming out that some people experience with lowering springs on OEM shocks.

3) Right now, the shocks are set to the softest setting, which is comfortable, but not right for me. I'm going to firm it up when I have a chance

I'll post pics later. I had the coilovers installed before work today - am I'm working swing tonight

These will lower the car much lower than the H&R's. It eliminates the fender gap

Looks great!

Now you got me wanting to install a set on our car. However, I think we will sell out of our initial supply of KW's (based on current interest) before I get a chance to use a set for myself for "Personal testing. LOL!"

By the way...Your BRABUS headlights went out yesterday, so you should get them in the next 48 hours.

Car is looking gooooood!

We got ours

i'd be curious to know how much the downward travel has decreased. thats what will affect the ride quality as far as jarring over large abrupt bumps.

Also when you put one or two people in the car it sits considerably lower.

Did you realign it afterwards? if so did it could they get it back to spec or does it require and sort of camber/caster kit?
