EBC VS stock rotors

3 guyz (a custom motorcycle builder) Untitled Documenthas been doing alot of R&D for smart cars and they have tested the hardness of the rotors using the brinell method (Brinell Hardness Test)

the results were:
stock at 187
EBC GD series at 215

equating to about 15% harder rotors by going to the EBC over stock.

for a bit more back ground the owner is actually running stock rotors (custom slotted) with the ebc redstuff pads

I like data and thought it would be nice to share.

Was it 3guys that's running stock, slotted rotors? The rotors _I_ have are the EBC USR series which I think just aren't in any US catalog - getting them a year ago was tough, but I got them eventually. A couple months and an errant shipment can do wonders.

The GD series from EBC look like great rotors and should help with cooling since the slots go to the edge of the rotor unlike the partial slots in the USR series.

I've seen some suggestions that ceramic pads can help pull heat from the rotors. I'd love to get some real data from my car: stopping distances, rotor temperatures. I'd expect the GD series rotors to perform a little better than my USRs, especially with the kleenwheels dust shields I have on (which might do next to nothing now that I have redstuff).
