Exhaust Swap Poll

How many people have actually installed an aftermarket exhaust, or are planning to? This is for the purchase of a "system", not a home-brewed or muffler shop job.

I purchased and installed a Breathless twin tip.
I am very happy with it.
it was easy and took about an hour total.
I backed the car up onto ramps, plenty of room.

Doug Thorley exhaust here

I installed a Doug Thorley exhaust and it went off without a hitch thanks to the experiences of everyone on here and their feedback. I had the car on the ground, followed the instructions and it went good. I love the low tone of it . . . it is not obnoxious like some import exhausts out there

Do a quick search on here about it and you'll find a wealth of knowledge from everyone on here.

PM me if you have and questions . . I'd be happy to reply.

It's still a "purchased" system and quality too. I'm sure some people are saying that about their homebrewed ones too though they may not meet the purchased definition.

You should of just said, Who has purchased a Thorley or Breathless exhaust? If you did which one did you get - Center or side exit.

Psssst - you still have time to reword it

I worded it the way I did because it's about the style of the exhaust, not the brand. It would be unfair to brands that aren't available yet, or that you don't even know exist.

I knew I'd get flamed by someone, but really, for most people getting one built one-off isn't a consideration. Either they want a proven product, or their time is more valuable doing other things than engineering something novel. And they're willing to pay for what they get.

Some members have made sinere posts about how to wash their car. Do you think they're going to DIY an exhaust, or buy something without some record of quality and effectiveness? No offense, but you're in the minority.

p.s.-It doesn't say you didn't make a purchase, it asked about a pre-made in series system. Which is not what you paid for.

I am on the fence about the DTH center design.

Ideally, I secretly long for Bum's system. I really like it!

Also on the line, will wait either for more input from other member's. Some are very happy with dth or breathless systems. I would rather have the side exit style. Will wait for more on the DTH twin system!!

My2Cents!
