Garmin with smart icon

I installed a Garmin nuvi 660 today. In reviewing the documentation I found that the vehicle on the display was changeable. A trip to The Garmin Garage

revealed a range of vehicles, but not smart ones! However this page includes instructions for installing what a bit o'googlin found:

I was looking for something like this - right now I have a red SUV to match my VUE on my Nuvi.

I did it on my C550. I even have the smart logo on my splash screen.

Do you have the .jpg file of the splash screen? I have a 200W... I'm thinking of making some sort of customized screen for it.

I haven't really done much with my Nuvi yet in the way of hacking - I'd imagine it is pretty closed though.

Ditto... want it on my 660... but have no idea how to do it. Currently using the compact hatchback icon.

go to garmin's site.
get your icon.
plug the nuvi into your computer with a USB cable.
computer should now recognize the nuvi as a USB storage device
navigate to the folder where the icons are stored.
copy the smart icon to that folder.

they have detailed instructions on the garmin site but that's the gist of it.

BTW... the folder on my 660 is device\Garmin\vehicle\

I've also done the smart logo on my splash screen on bootup.

I won't have internet access at home until next week as I just moved - but I'll throw the image up here as well as install instructions for the newer Nuvi units.
