I've had this intake on my smart for 3300 miles now and have had no issues or CEL's. It's tackling the dragon tomorrow!!!

Sorry, I was playing golf all morning and haven't gotten back to the forum 'till just now. Thanks for relieving the concern about water being sucked into the intake. Sounds like a great product.

Thank you for all of the great feedback on the intake system. I have had this intake installed on the car I use for testing for about 4 month's now and have never had a water problem. The car is driven daily in Michigan by a bit of a maniac through rain, snow, dirt and whatever (but no deep puddles!). I have taken the intake off a bunch of times to check for problems and could only find a dusting of road salt residue in the intake tube.

I have had some trouble getting things anodized so I am having these Powder coated instead. The price will remain the same but now they will only come in two colors, simi-gloss black and a sort of polished aluminum color.
For any of my customers that already have an anodized one, just E-mail me if you want to trade for one of the powder coated versions.

Thanks again Cube for the outstanding review, and I am working on some really cool Genius Parts stickers as well as some exciting new products!
How much would you charge to make me a Yellow one?

Hi Yellow Smart,
I can do custom colors for an extra $25.00. Assuming that yellow is in stock, it will take anywhere from 2 to 5 days to get it done for you.

If any of you want a custom color, I can do them too. You can pick colors at www.eastwoodco.com My powder coater has many colors in stock. If they need to order a new color, prepare to give it a week or so.

If you want an intake in a custom color, please e-mail or PM me your Email address and the color you want. I will then be able to send you a total to you through PayPal.
Thank you
Matt

Anyone have any comments about performance and MPG benefit or hit? I'm thinking of doing this mod, nice that the price seems to have dropped sub 200$? in the past year?

Not sure if anyone is going to speak up but I do get E-mails all the time from customers telling me how they are satisfied with there purchase, lots of good feedback on power, haven't heard much on mileage. Price on these baby's is only $150.00. Not only is it the most well-built intake on the market but it is also the cheapest!
