Genius exhaust

I purchased the exhaust offered by Genius and am really pleased with it. A friend of mine is a stainless steel fabricator and he was impressed with the quality. It installed very easily! The only problem was getting to the bolts of the heat shield and the mounting bolts-not easy to do without proper tools. A bit of sweating, swearing and maybe skinned knuckles.
The sound is a nice "growl," much like many sport cars your hear on the road. There is an increase of sound/noise inside, louder at lower rpm's, but that should be expected whenever changing exhausts on any kind of vehicle that isn't a "stock," system.

Did you remove the real panels for access or just install from the bottom of the car?

We normally remove the rear panels for easy access on exhaust swaps here at the shop

Great exhaust too....the smart with an exhaust is an interesting site...car SOUNDS much larger than its physical dimensions lol....changes people perceptions of the car quickly

On MK2 (451) there is no need to remove rear panels to install the exhaust. All you need to remove is rear valance (plastic strip on the bottom of the rear bumper). If you know what are you doing it takes less then an hour to install one.
