Hello all you HAMs, I was discussing antenna mounting with Dave KG6MCL in another thread and it occurred to me...how many HAMs have improved their Smart by installing a HAM radio?
I was wondering how an antenna could be installed. I don't have my Smart yet, so I can't figure out options.
As I recall, our Smart-to-be will have a plexi roof with a sliding sun shade. This makes routing the coax tough. And I doubt if my family is going to let me drill a hole in the roof right off the bat!
And if the roof is plexi, it's not going to be a great ground plane. Maybe install droopers on your vertical? That will look awsome! Well, to another HAM, anyway...
I thought the Smart may pose some interesting problems to HAM radio, and wondered how many of you have come up with solutions.
