Did you use a windage tray in the oil pan or think about dry sumping bike engines are not used to cornering with the engine held flat instead of leaning with bike in corners

Just thought I would let you know you have a future customer here. Please let us all know when this kit is ready for production. I was going to sell my ForTwo for a Lotus Elise, but I've since decided to keep it and make it my toy...it's so much more unique. I can't wait to take it both to the track and the car shows.

That thing is interesting...not at all what I'm looking for, but thank you.

BTW I hope there are still plans to incorporate an electric motor to run the A/C...here in SoCal I need the A/C for those hot car shows...especially on a Passion model. If I had a Cabrio I might be able to deal with it, but that little greenhouse gets way too hot to enjoy without A/C.

Hey all
The SmartBusa is running and driving. Well, actually I tore the drive system out of it and it is out of commission for a week or so. The Busa motor makes so much power that it was stripping out the laser cut splined drive flange. The new one is being CNC machined from hardened tool steel. It should hold up to anything we can throw at it!

I am just waiting for the information to get put up on my web site, It will be a couple of weeks.

For now there will be no air conditioning. I have hundreds and hundreds of hours not to mentioned thousands of dollars into the prototyping so far. I need to see this pay off for a while until I start engineering again.
If someone really wants A/C enough to be the guinea pig I will find a way to make it happen.

P.s. It does come with a windage tray.

Every time I look at this setup I wonder to myself if one of these units would be a possibility for using on the motorcycle engine conversion instead of chain drive. It can even be had with reverse, and if I read this right. it even says it bolts right up to the motorcycle output shaft.

I know there are certain advantages to chain drives, but if I were to do something like the Hayabusa conversion (how about using a new V-Max Yamaha powerplant, eh?), I'd choose the enclosed setup. I got my first shaft drive motorcycle in 1972, and got spoiled by no chain maintenance, etc.
