I can't stand my fender gap!

I haven't driven a car with "stock height" since 1995, and my fender gap is bugging me big time!

I know KW and Bilstein are working on a coilover system for the US market (they have systems in Europe already). Both are supposed to be out "soon".

So I gave them a call. KW is going to call Germany to get a part number and to see how long before it hits the market

Bilstein already has a part number for the US!!! They are still testing, but hope to have it out next month. They gave me a part # of HES-A763-H1.

I need some coilovers in my life

What? Do you have photos? I have no idea what you are referring to.

Sounds like the problem suffered by anorexics. They look at something (themselves in the mirror) and can't see that not only does it look fine, but will not be improved by what they do.

But then I think smart stylists hit this one clear out of the park! Most of the changes I've seen remind me of body piercings. Someone must have thought they were improvements...

Put on some 18's and you won't need a lowering LOL...

I'm looking forward to my new springs also. Apparently, I have a "bum" spring from Smart. It's my front right spring. I recently changed my wheels to 17"'s but now when I turn left (with some force) my traction control turns on but this never happens when I turn right.

I thought the exact same thing....

In reality tho', I'd rather use the H&R drop. Those springs and some slightly wider/softer tires will provide the ride I want for a daily driver.
Most likely, I'll keep the original tires on the steelies for winter use.

Keep in mind that there isn't a whole lot of suspension travel to begin with (especially in the front), so reducing it even further by lowering the car might be something you want to rethink.

Thanks for the suggestions on suspension travel, but I've driven in extremely low cars since 1995, and am not only used to (but prefer) the firmer, rougher ride It's definitely not for everyone

im tucking tyre front and rear now, the bumpstop is just 5mm thick now after the last trimming, if it wasnt there would be no movment at all... you really need shorter shocks but hen he tyre would hit the inner gaurd and destroy the car, not like a metal car where you can push out he guard a little

lets just say the ride is rough!
