Not to hijack the thread, but I notice you're not a SCoA member...

Still no conclusive evidence? This is disappointing. I'm seriously considering a '09 Brabus but would like to give it a little bump and am looking for success stories.

Smartcar Performance should have the ECU Upgrade dyno results on their web site, which they do not. A professional vendor understands the need to supply data showing their product test results against a baseline. Regarding dyno data, it is important to understand the correct dyno is needed (rbhp) to yield real-world results (not flywheel). Also, an unqualified or dishonest dyno technician can skew dyno results in one's favor. Legitimate dyno results post the dyno used and the exact configuration of the test environment (along with photos). Notice how few vendors do just that?

You are so correct! The statement above is something we have been shouting from the roof tops for years!

I don't know how much additional power "bump" your looking for. I think everyone would agree that it would take more air and fuel to provide the extra ponies. With that said, I'm at a loss as to how a reprogrammed ECU by itself is going to give much satisfaction? Obviously the timing and fuelmap can be modified with the ECU but we are missing more air.Without doing other modifications to supplement the cause it seems pointless.
Following these threads on turbocharging I feel you will get the "bump" your looking for and overall will be the best bang for the buck. JMO

nope, if ya work out the math, a reflash from a good tuner works out at way cheaper per hp than the turbo. But if you don't want to try to rationalize the money spent, the turbo set ups are way too much fun!And if ya reflash on top of the turbo, look out!

Besides, you have to reflash the ecu to get the tcm reflash to fix that silly transmission lag, before you get the turbo kit! LOL
