Yeah, I am thinking this as well. I guess this is one of those things that is worth waiting on until more guinea pigs provide us with some real-world results.

Any one thought about testing bolt on parts with data log tools like DL1 or MaxQ Data istead of dynamometers or 1/4 mile times?
I use MaxQ Data for login autocross runs, it's also a good tool for comparing acceleration runs.

Threads on this subject abound on every car forum concerned with performance.
So based on that, the above mod is a total waste because it is now pulling in hot air vs the cool air from the factory intake position without any benefit of a lower-restriction filter.

So, is there a K&N performance air filter for our Smarts Yet?

A dyno graph would be cool.

Arturo, we've seen that but our US (and Canadian) 451s have a flat filter. I suspect yours do also.

If anybody in houston knows someone with a dyno, I'll put my car on it. I have done no other mods, have 4k miles on the car and this intake/filter has made a noticeable difference in power, seems to shift quicker and rpms accelerate faster. The sound is awesome as well. My breathless exhaust and scoop are on the way.

What was I thinking?? You are right jwight, as long as I'm used to this filter I missed that (also the K&N says it fits 2008 fortwo but that's WRONG).

I used this K&N filter in a 2005 fortwo and a BRABUS filter in the roadster.

please accept my apologies
