Interested in custom panels?

I have a friend that owns a car and motorcycle customizing business. He does all the basics like stereo systems, gps, and alarms. Lately however hes been getting a lot of business doing custom plastics for motorcycles. He does a lot of hand airbrushing to make some really wild designs. Recent ones include black with metallic blue flake with realistic looking airbrushed lightning bolts, or airbrushing the entire bike to look like it was made out of welded scrap metal, and then covering it with translucent candy blue. Anyway I've been trying to convince him to get some smart panels and do a custom paint job for those. would anyone be interested in custom one of a kind airbrushed panels? what kind of designs might you like to see? what do you think a reasonable price would be for a product that would instantly give your smart a one of a kind show car look? would you be more interested in a custom airbrushed set of panels or more interested in a set of panels painted a solid color not offered by smart. Thanks for responses, just trying to see what interest there is.

Here's a Dutch smart site that has lots of examples for starter (with 360-degree view, too...)

It will also let you upload your own graphic (click on the first link ">> Ontwerp je eigen smart" on the right) to see what it looks like from the front, side, and back.

Cool website. Do you know if those are vinyl stick-on graphics? Or are they painted on?

I would be interested but it looks like you're a bit far for my business. I'd love to see some examples of his artwork. Any chance of posting some pics?
Some themes I'd like to see:
* flames (not the typical ones but real looking flames)
* skeletons/skulls (I know it sounds goofy coming from a 49 year old woman, but I've seen a truck around town that had a beautiful spread of screaming skulls; it was really nice)
* shade gradation (light to dark from top to bottom or front to back)
* water/waves
* wheels, cogs, chains (like you're looking at the inside workings)

I've seen this website, it was mentioned awhile back on this forum. I think they're wraps. Cool looking!

he said he'd be willing to ship panels if people were interested, i believe i heard it costs about $200 to ship from coast to coast shorter distances would adjust accordingly.

Hrmm.. I wonder what he'd charge to turn my blue panels into Black Watch tartan panels? Although, I don't know what I'd do in the meantime while they were being painted...
