Is that "Centrafuse" on your carputer? I used to have it on my other car.
I definitely look forward for more info of your setup (touchscreen, wiring, startup/shutdown relays, etc.).
BTW I think you need to upgrade your keyboard to diNovo MINI. :-)

No it is RoadRunner. I would post a pic of the front end and a few screens but later when things are fixed. I proll should reduce the jpeg size of the photos before uploading. I've gone threw the 10 megs with what I uploaded.

The DC/DC regulators are Carnetix.

LOL I prefer the larger keyboard so I can type. I can't thumb peck. But the keyboard has a joystick to act with the mouse. Oh you prolly cant see the center console above the stick. It has a touch pad. Both monitors are Touch screens.

My dad has that diNovo MINI for his desktop computer. It's his main keyboard, but I agree it takes A LOT of getting use to. I bought a bluetooth left hand frog pad (eventhough I'm right handed) and I was going to learn how to type on it so that I would type with my left hand and drive with my right, i.e. the keyboard would be sitting on the drivers door area. But I never took the large amount of time to figure out how to use it then I took it apart to see if I could make it smaller, i.e. remove to the battery to make it external and I ended up destroying it.

To me it's the only thing that you could learn how to use and safety drive without looking at the keyboard for keys. I just wish it was a tad smaller and slimmer. I mean it's rather small, but about the same size as an OQO computer.

You could use Photobucket. It's rather easy to use.

And I don't mean using the left hand keyboard to IM back and forth, but to enter street addresses into Streets & Trips, etc. I used wireless internet in my vehicles since 1999 and I don't risk my life or others for the sake of communication, but there are devices out there that I think are ideal for a vehicle.

Question for you? Does your front cam connect to your carputer so that you can automatically record when you start the car or do you have to manually start it each time? I've been wanting to get a blackbox for my vehicles for a long time, but the time involved researching it all has prevented me from pursuing it, not to mention the time of keeping up on the latest and greatest, etc. I've been in some accidents in my life that the other person did their best to make it look like it was my fault, i.e. running red lights, parking lot fender benders, etc. I want to have a record of which color the redlight was, etc. I see you have a 1TB drive, so I guess you don't use it for that as any accident would likely bust the spinning mechanical drive. What's the model for your driver's cam?

As for the T7600 dual-core...I'd love to figure out how to install a fan into my Smart to vent out hot air like the new Solar roof 2010 Prius. I've love to know more specifics about your carputer, too. i.e. where you got them and what you exactly have...but I'm sure that'd require some time explaining.

Which turbo did you get?

The 8" touchscreen in your dash is beautiful from what I can tell in the pics. It really takes up that oversized double DIN PLUS very nicely.

Where'd you get the Dinks bumper spikes? I need to figure out what kind of bumper protection I need on the Smart. I had some guy push my Smart a tad in Manhattan which fortunately didn't damage it, but I literally had to do everything within my power to retain myself from blowing his car up. lol, I'm very proud of myself for not doing anything. haha

Anyway, nice mods. Very nice! Is the driver cam in the rear view mirror? I see a green light on the aftermarket rear view mirror.

@Barbus

I don't used the keyboard as much as you would think. IM can be done threw voice dictation threw the bluetooth headset.

Photobucket sucks. Not good for online photo storage at all. If enough hits hit the photo they cut you off. Rather just clean up the photos I've uploaded and get my dang account fixed here!

Entering addresses into GPS iGuidence is very easy. On screen touch keyboard. Works great on the 8" and viewd on the 7" while driving.

As far as mechanical drive. The 1TB drive has been set to sleep mode and isn't used that much. The OS is on an OCZ Summit SSD drive 120GB.

Cooling the PC. It is a MiniITX motherboard so keeping things small for the Smart was a must. The case has two 40mm fans and above the CPU and chipset I put a 70mm fan. I've turn off the speed regulator on it so it is currently on wide open. It's a little too noisy and will prolly turn back on the speed control. With car at idle you can hear the fan, but with music on there isn't much else you can hear, (ears will start rining after about 5min. ;-) ).

Turbo will be the SFR version2 or maybe 3 if it comes out.

Ah the 8" doesn't fit like you might imagin. The bezel was done I did from scratch. The center console is too. Made of black storage container, and plastic welded.

Search the forums for Dink's bumperspikes and that is if he is willing to make more. Seems they are a touchy issue with the vendors. (btw they lost this customer) I can't say they are any good function except for appearance. They are not bumpers or any such.

No the driver cam is a Sony Color Super HAD bullet camera. One of 5 cameras, Front, front FLIR, backup, driver, left and right. Can only record one input at a time so software driven to flip at about 15FPS between cameras gives a good 15fps file of all the camera simulataiously.

Rear 6.5

Polk 6.5" in fiberglass enclosures I made. First time I've ever fiber glassed and they turned out great! They have two aluminum flat bars that allow for mounting. Only 4 small holes into the Trident.

Holy crap! Does Radio Shack know you've been plundering their stores! Dang, that's a lot of electronic goodies in one car.
