If anyone finds a source for that dock, please share. I can't find it.

the source I think is a badly beaten and gutted alarm radio that incorporated a dock in it. the pic of the bottom view while not in focus shows its not an off the shelf job.
one thing is for sure, He did a good job. But I like my Itouch to be a little less in the way (of prying eyes!) and rotation for videos is not possible with that install.

take a look at smartmadness' PED3 auto bracket. I have it installed (non-permanently) in the cup holder.... within perfect reach of my fingers as I rest my hand on the gear shift knob.... and yes it rotates for those important videos!

Thanks for the credits! I'm very happy with my solution.
It works great. Play's the sound via the radio and it also charges Iphone/Ipod.
It is just some handy DIY and a cheap solution eswell.
If you are interested how i to make it yourself. I could write a short tutorial. Just let me know.
It is not difficult at all to fix this.
Ciao

I want to upgrade my sound system further. I've already replaced the oem door speakers for the Polk DB651s. Now i also want some sound comming from the back. That is a problem.. I've doubted for some weeks but i think i go for a solution where i mount speakers in the storage room in the "backdoor". Reinforce that panel and just make holes in it and screw the speakers into place. I dont prefer ruining my panel but for me this sounds like the best and easyst solution, and besides i could always order a new one ;) If somebody has an alternative, please let me know!!
Then i want to hook up all the speakers to an amp. and hook that up to the radio.
Speaking of the radio... I also want a new radio and i want that radio to be fully iphone/ipod connectable so i can control the iphone/ipod via the radio.
That is about it i think.
Cheers!
