Just had a DTH single exhaust installed!! FANTASTIC!!!

Thanks to kloudking for the great deal on the exhaust. And to Babybenz for doing the install for me. The exhaust sounds great and isn't too loud at all. Exactly what we were looking for!!! For those that want the sound and performance and a slightly lower volume I'd recommend this one. Even on the interstate you can hold a conversation or hear the radio quite well.

That is cool. You have the exact model # of which one. Maybe a link to where one might get it. I know you got it from one of the members, but without knowing which one, You never know what you might buy. Different dealers might have single DTH exhausts that are all different.

Thanks for the replies on where to get it. I am still waiting for my car. Dec 30th is new date. Then, after I get it, I most likely will add it when spring comes. Hate working on cars in the winter. And I don't see paying a dealer to do the work when I can do it.

I Love It!

Had one installed on the wife's Coupe - she hated it - too noisy. So when my Cabriolet arrived, I had the dealer swap the DTH from her Coupe to my Cab. I love it! Sound is a bit throaty and can drone a bit, but the performance improvement is, IMHO, quite noticeable. Give the engine management ~500 miles of *mixed* driving to get used to the freer flow - you'll hear a bit mellower sound and a more consistent, improved performance; especially acceleration. It won't turn a Smart into a F1 machine, but when you start with as few horsies as we have, it doesn't take much to show a tangible improvement!

Cheers,
Jeff

In a Cabriolet with virtually nothing between the cabin and the exhaust, the drone is more noticeable - especially when the engine is working a bit or just upshifts to 5th. Personally, I do not mind the sound and I've heard far more obnoxious sounding exhaust systems. No, the DTH system is - IMHO - a very good investment.

Cheers,
Jeff
