MDC Cruise with sprint booster. I am thinking about installing the MDC cruise control. Is this something that will need to be disabled before taking my car in for servicing? Don't know if it will interferre with any computer work that may be done by the dealer at the time of service.
Can't speak for the MDC, but FWIW, if it's anything like the Area451 you can leave it attached. (Many of us had our 2.0 upgrades with the Area 451 cc in place.)
From what I can tell of the MDC unit it emulates your foot on the gas pedal for its CC function. I would see no reason to have to disable it for service.
I installed mine is about 2 hours. It functions very well. The SB is a very nice feature, however, it does affect the CC when you try to use + function to increase your CC speed. Other than that I find it a very nice convenience.

No it doesn't affect the dealer service.... the system is connected at the canbus system....unless the dealer make a big deal about it, I brought mine in Universal Smart for warranty issue they don't care they fix the issue...
It won't affect dealer service at all. However, if you get an electrical problem, many dealers will, in my experience, use the CC as an excuse NOT to give you warranty service.
I have the MDC. I just turned it off before i took it in for the 2.0 upgrade. Service advisor was great completed all upgrades got it back turned it back on and away i went. no problems.I love it. Nice upgrade. happy motoring.

I did the same as ccdsmart. There's a switch on the MDC unit to turn it on and off without uninstalling it. Several people did the 2.0 upgrade without turning it off though, so no issues there.
