Mods for smart fortwo on TireRack.

TireRack has added Goodridge G-Stop Brakeline Kit.

Other items include the Rial rims, H&R spring set and tires.

Good find! It doesn't look like there is any stock on hand, however, as they are listed as "special order only"

The WORKS "Smarter" brake lines are $89 and include Motul fluid. These are available on a pre-order basis starting tomorrow. That is for front only, as the rear on our cars use drum brakes, so there isn't really much point to upgrading the lines in the back - not to mention, the fronts are a lot easier to swap out in terms of labor and do most of the work in stopping the car.

actually why would you want to get rid of the expandable front brake lines and then keep the 1/2? in the rear?

Most braking are performed by the front brakes.

SS braided lines provide better brake feel.

and you think the rear lines wont expand with the aded pressure your adding with the harder braking youll be doing now?
(imo, if you do the front, do the rear.
any job worth doing is worth doing right.)
(or any job, big or small, do it right or dont do it at all)
vince i hope your not 1 to only put green pads on the front and not on the rear.
imho

The front brakes do >85% and the rears are at <15% thus the pressures are operating at >5 times greater in the front than the rear. If your adding the rear disc set later do all 4 if not save your cash cause it's only flashing stainless if not.
