Car sounds nice and sporty and seems to rev well, but man those gearchanges are slow and sloppy, is that as good as the change gets on the 451, cos the roadster change is a lot quicker than that.
Was it in manual or auto, as some of the changes seemed very slurry, and do you keep your foot down while changing or do you lift and reapply?
Maybe other 451 owners could comment after watching the video, on the gearchange.
The car would be a lot faster with a better change IMHO.

yup that about right on the 2008 gear change .. sounded like it was auto. but seemed pretty nice compared to non turbo.

Okay, so we drove around your city in the dark....

Nice sounding exhaust. No clue as to how quickly you or the tranny were grabbing gears, but it sure sounded slow and sloppy so I'm guessing you were in auto mode.

No clue as to how quickly you were getting to [insert speed here], since we weren't looking at the speedo...

I'm really not learning anything from this.

I think a video with the camera recording the speedometer would help us more, IMO. Sounds nice!

I suspect a.) he was driving in auto mode, and b.) he wasn't lifting to force the shifts; rather he was powering through, possibly to keep revs on the turbo up.

The US-spec 451 tranny *hates* it when you "shift" like that. (Well, mine does anyway.) I suspect if he were driving in manual, or lifting on the upshifts, it would've revved a lot quicker. I guaran-damn-tee it would've been smoother, and the way I was raised, "smooth = speed."

At the beginning I see a "1" on the gear indicator instead of a "D". That some nice shots of the back of the Jeep......helmet cam next time.
