I know how long it takes to go through the gears... In *my* car. Is yours an '09? An '08? An '08 with a reflashed tranny? An older Eurospec? Again, with nothing to reference to, all you have is some motor noise and some lights going by. (it really is quite nice motor noise, though.)

All I'm saying is it's not really the most effective marketing tool. Check your competition; the video he put up tonight tell us quite a bit more than yours does.

Food for thought; tendered with respect; take or leave.

It is an 08 with every option and 17" wheels.I understand shooting at night isnt ideal but I figured it was better then nothing. So we will be doing more videos soon. Will make sure they are in the daylight.

Jeez, I wish I had'nt commented on the gearchange now, it really changed the whole thread.
This is the first in car video I have seen of the 451, I drive a roadster and have driven the older 450's, and have seen videos of both and the vids do seem representative of how the car drives, so I was shocked with the gearchange and how slow and sloppy it was, so now I know what you guys have the beef about, as I have always commented on gearchange threads about how I like the gearchange, but man if this is representative of the change, then I feel sorry for you guys.
Maybe instead of developing a turbo, you should do a remap to make the change quicker.
This is how a roadster changes gear, note the difference, and how quick it is.
Apologies to the original poster, but just wanted to justify my question about the gearchange, and I did say the car sounded well and it seemed to be quick.
Good luck with your venture.
El
ps, now this is how to do an in car video, looks awesome, stick a camera mount on to the back window.

Haha, thanks Turbo Tim, but it is not me driving, steering wheel is on the wrong side for a start, as the guy driving is European and I am from Britain, so our wheels are on the correct side
Just posted it to show how good the change is on the eurosmarts.
Sorry for any confusion.
Ellis
ps. That man can really drive that thing, can't he?
pps. I could take him!

Test Ride

Daytime footage will make a big difference, especially if you want to showcase the speed and power.

I am saying this because I was able to get a test ride from the Turbocharged Smart Car from SFR.

First of all, video footage can only show you so much. When you actually ride in it, it's a totally different ballgame. The whole time we were accelerating, my back was push to my seat. We reached 80MPH in no time. It's a very clean ride. The sound is nice. It has a deep sound but not too loud like some exhaust systems. Plus it definitely looks a heck of a lot better than the "other" turbo system, honestly. It's made for showcasing. It's well built, it looks good and definitely has more power compared to stock. And you can drive it in the rain. (I had to add that one)

So don't make any conclusions from a video taken at night. It's worth a test ride before making any decisions.
