No more leaning in turns.

Well, it still leans, but a whole lot less.
Add this change to a pair of 175 tires (same ones as the rears)
mounted on the stock front rims
and you get a ton of performance for very little cash.

Put the new hole just far away from he bend enough to fit the nut.
grind the sides away to form flats and somewhere for the nut to push against.

It puts some stress on the rod and ball joints but it looks pretty good after a month.

Randy, so there are additional holes on the end of the sway bars?

RandyZimmer:

These are the Back yard Mechanic mods that usually end up working best and costing the least..... "work with what you have" and can adapt easily is my preferred method

Thanks great mod

And remember, those that work the best will "void your warranty" the quickest.
Oh Nooo.

do tell what you mean by void your warranty...

what exactly does "void your warranty" mean in your mind?

..... sounds like some arbitrary and absolute decision to me...... and I am happy to say I am an American consumer protected by the Magnuson Moss warranty ACT

I bet if RandyZimmer's anti sway bar was to crack or break he would be content to just replace the $100+/- item... as would I...

But I suspect this modification would not impact in any way a warranty claim for shifter sticking or front hub bearing failure

Every body say AMEN. Just because you do a modification it will not void the warranty on any thing that is not directly related to the mod.

Sorry - but I have to plug the WORKS suspension upgrade package here for those that want an off-the-shelf solution. As far as I know, it is the only adjustable swaybar/matched spring set-up for our cars. It goes on on sale June 28th at the Infineon Meet.

I have never heard of the "Works Suspension" before.
What information do you have on the "Works suspension"?

Is this for the 451's only or 450 Smarts?
