Only NOS I'll be putting on my car is New Old Stock parts in 20 years. Pet peeve of mine is when that movie came out and had every punk in the world screaming "NOS!" - that's like screaming "Texaco!" if a car has a fuel leak. It's a brand name. You found my button - some people hate the word "STEALERSHIP" - I hate the word NOS used in the wrong context.

Wow - OK - I blathered on about nothing long enough. In short - NO - Nitrous only does bad things most of the time. It may be for you but I won't run it on my cars (I have had it before on my car in high school MANY years ago - never ran it in fear of ruining a $2,500 ENGINE - THAT WAS 1986-87)

Better watch it Capt1mike, if they don't like your idea of what to add to a smart they flame you. I had to look up NOS to figure out what it was. Do you race your smart or would it improve your performance or something?

Hey CaptMike! I had the idea floating around for a little bit, seeing how the SMART handles in an autocross I was thinking of turning it into a semi race smart car and... the idea of a progressive nitrous system doesn't seem too bad, one that gradually comes on depending on the position of your throttle so it wouldn't be a "sudden" surge of explosive power

I think SMART's subwoofer is the closest we've had so far to a NOS installation:
