Opinion needed: Which is the quietest??

Which one of these do you guys think makes less noise. Anybody out there who has had heard them all? I know that the newly designed Solo is quieter than before and probably better built, but I just want to know which is the quietest of the three. Would be nice if there was a db rating on the Solo...

I have had the Solo Exhaust and find it to be too loud and honestly not much power at all. Most my customers have compared it to theirs and told me the exact same thing. I even compared it to someone with a Breathless Exhaust and the Solo was still louder. I think you will be better off with the Doug Thorley's Quiet System.

Oh, really, well, okay but the solo that you heard was the older version? FYI they have redesigned it to make it even quieter. Anybody have anything to say about the DT quiet system?

If you are going for quiet, stick with stock.

I have broken more aftermarket exhausts than most.

between finding a new one, I go back to stock. it is quiet.

I personally think I have, at one time, had the loudest ever.
I put a full long tube header on and ran a stinger right out the back.

If you are going to change it, remember that the MB engineers worked long and hard finding the best compromise between quiet and MPG/performance. any changes from that will get more performance yet be louder.

Period.

Hm, well, okay then. I just hate the way the stock exhaust sticks down from the side. Really wanted the center exit look.

There is one of them that uses the stock muff and comes out the center.

If I remember, it is pretty expensive.

Mine was the latest and greatest. I also had some serious problems with the exhaust due to poor installation job. I assumed the distributor knew what they were doing. I was wrong. My exhaust came apart and the crush gasket was burned up and unusable. No support after that.

Here you go ~ Quiet Stock Exhaust~ The $6.00 Duel Tip L00K ~ Paint the little exhaust stub & anything else that can be seen from the back semi flat heat paint black, and it all disapears just like the pic looking from the back...
Note: There is no after market exhaust as Quiet as stock, not even the so called Quiet exhaust... You can't have both... What your after is a (Oxymoron) Quiet & Aftermarket

Have had the original DT side exhaust which was waaaay too loud, but the welds broke in short order and I trashed it. Went to the original Solo center exit exhaust and it was noticeably quiter than the DT, but it's still louder than I like. Have not heard the new "quiet" DT or the new Solo. What about the possibility of using the stock exhaust and having a muffler shop reroute the outlet pipe so as to make it a center outlet? Certainly would be less expensive than buying a new system at $400-$800...and possibly finding that it isn't quiet enough.
