Hopefully I can give you a new time to post in a couple of weeks ;)...

come on Larry and get that smart fixed. We don't want to be publishing a "record setter" for a car that doesn't run anymore. I always did believe a "has been" was better than a "never ran" though. But let's get the cow running again and get some NEW numbers up on the board!!

Well being a record setter also means I've put my car thru some... unbearable pain... poor cow... it's been used... and abused... and.. should I say tortured =P... but it's never let me down... I've broken things in the car and fixed it.. but that's how I know where the weak points are.. I just never posted it on the forum ahah but it would be nice to keep a blog about it... such as spending weeks and weeks and hundreds of dollars just to figure out, learn and improve on the fuel system.. lol

I just sent an e-mail telling Paul aka superchargingmachine how thru all this experience... I've went thru detonation, pre ignition and misfire, and lack of fuel and blown spark... until I went thru each one I didn't know what each one of those felt like and what it showed as a result of A/F ratio... ECU reaction and etc... but as u figure each problem out.. u learn and you continue on the path to the ultimate.. most powerful fastest smart car in the world ;)... lol... All comes as a learning experience when tuning a car. ;)

While I'm fixing... wait.. correction.. UPGRADING the car.. I'm also going to gut out the damn EGR valve... the air injection unit.. like the WHOLE thing including that damn air pump... to make room for other stuff.. haha...

What did that scene look like? Black and white cowhide and hooves everywhere...

I should send my ailing Stebel Nautilus horn to you-- it sounds like a sick cow.

So what's it take to fix? Hope you get up and running soon.

i sold my smart well over a year ago

100% stock factory turbo Australian model

was faster after mild remap, notice the 1.2 second gear changes!

0-62.5mph in 9.5sec

much more potential, but aftermarket is non existant here, would ne easy to get it down 1-2seconds with more boost and gearshift remap but it cant be done here and i didnt want to sent my computers to italy lol

like i said thats stock, 7.5 psi i believe

was fun to drive

ps, we have proper wheels here had 195's all round and 125kg driver if that helps

sorry havent got the runs of the remap but it pulled much harder in gear, gear changes were equally as long though 1.2-1.4seconds in auto shift mode

thanks andrewd! It's interesting to see how these cars run from other countries. I'll make sure you are on the table as a reference.
