Pic updates: KW coilovers, S-Mann BBK, HRE's

I forgot to take pics of my KW's when I had them installed, so I took a few pics of them last night when I went to get my BBK and HRE's installed.

Unfortunately, my HRE's did not clear the calipers by ONLY 1-2 mm!!! Quite a bummer for not only myself, but also for the shop owner, who was just as excited to see the setup on the car. Wheels are going back to HRE tomorrow to machine down the inner face. Will have to wait another week or 2 before I can get them on.

Also, the tires I ordered (Yokohama S-drive) are significantly wider and with a very square sidewall compared to my stock Hankook tires. I ordered 195/40 and 225/40 Yoko's. The 195's were JUST as wide as my stock 215/35 Hankook's. The Yoko 225's look like the OEM 245's that were on my other car. I thought I'd share this information if any of you ever slam your Smart like I did AND decide to run aggressive offsets on your rims...you will rub. If you have a moderate drop, then the sizes should be OK.

So, while HRE machines my wheels, my shop is looking for new tires.

On with the pics:

1) BBK - my shop had an extra Brembo sticker, so I had them put it on...wanted to see what Brembo's look like on a Smart car

2) KW's - front

3) KW's - rear. Notice I did not install the perch. I wanted to get as low as I could

Terry, Awesome !! I had 225/35/17's in the rear and they didn't fit the rim correctly, it was too wide for the 7" rim. I went to 215/40/17 front and 205/40/17 fronts, much better. BTW, I may be moving back to San Francisco next May. We should get together.

LOL, Vince...that was one of the options. I had considered repainting the caliper at one point, but decided to keep the anodized orange. If repainting were still in the plans, rims would be on as I type!
