1. Smart Car Performance cold air intake VII. $350 from SmartMadness. You can feel the increase in power across the entire power band. Eliminates about 20 pounds worth of ugly stuff from your engine bay.
2. ECU Remap from Veloce. I got it on sale, but it was still expensive. Big difference in torque. The car has much more punch in the mid rpms.
3. Remus Exhaust. I can feel the improvement most in the higher RPMs. It sounds great. Much lighter than the stock unit.
With these three mods, the car now has plenty of power. My wife didn't like to drive it when it was stock. She loves to drive it now.

wow sounds great.

If you ever bring your car out east, I'd like for us to do a side-by-side with one of my smarts that has a completely stock powertrain. The only thing I've done is changed the oil to Mobile Synthetic. After hundreds and hundreds of dollars for your mods and with your car having "plenty of power", it should be able to outrun a stocker in 0-60, 1/4 mile, 30-60, and maybe even top speed. I do want to make sure we match driver weight (I'm about 222 - don't tell my doctor) so we have a matched comparison.

Oh and I do have some airbrushing on mine but that is less than one horsepower or two at the most.
