Possible to disable locking beep????

Hi, did a search but nothing. Is it possible to disable that corny beep that sounds twice in a row every time I lock my car? I know its from my alarm and I want to keep the alarm but the beep is sooooooo annoying. I called a dealer and they said it can be done but they have to call Mercedes to figure out how cuz they've never done it yet.

If they figure it out, let us know. So far as I know, dealers have told me and other members that it can't be disabled.

as far as I know, you can't disable the beep without diabling the alarm itself... That's what I was told when I had my alarm fixed.

I'll second that, and the beep helps me locate the car in a crowded parking lot after a long day.

Keep the Beep!

No 'beep' for me (of course no alarm either). I think I would find it annoying as well, so I'm glad I DON'T have the alarm option.

Flashing lights works just fine for me.
