Rear Axle / Frame Tube Covers

Has anyone located black rear axle / frame tube covers?

i've seen some shiny aluminum ones around this site, just haven't been able to locate black.

Yes, Breathless Performance made-up a pair for me some time ago - black powder coated. Nice. Call Ernie.

Not sure, they are not readily at hand. They are tight fitting external caps (with two small allen set-screws), not interior plugs.

Post #31 in Save Our Tubes (De Dion that is).

Just spray 'em black instead of blue.

73mm inside diameter that goes into the dedion tube.
82mm outside diameter.

Evilution - Smart Car Encyclopaedia

SmartBillet will be making these soon if his PM to me is anything to go by.
Either powdercoat, spray or brush paint.

Already make them, but they're only available brushed or polished.
My PM was that I was wondering if they would also fit the 450's. Thanks for the info.

Add me to the list of folks who would be interested if they were in black!

If you look at the tube, you should find a drain hole in the front from the factory. It is kind of small, 3/8" or so if my memory serves me correctly.
