I'd go with the props too! Boy talk about starting more rumors & conversation! Don't think there is much room for them to spin tho!

REALLY simple black covers?

Howdy all
I don't remember if I read this on this list or one of the other 5 smart forums I read?

HOCKEY PUCKS ! ! !

Plain black, rubber, NHL pucks (.99/ea at Sports Authority)

Put them in your freezer for 24 hours (remember basic physics, heat expands, cold shrinks)

Pound them into the ends of your tubes with a rubber mallet.

They will be in there forever.

I am going to use hockey pucks as a base for mounting previously mentioned LED trailer lights. (Still working on wiring diagram)

You really don't want to seal the tubes totally though, there is a breather hole further back, if water gets in it will fill the tube up.

Tube inserts

Did I understand you correctly? Nothing is used to glue or hold in the grate covers?

Yes,no glue or anything!! They are a snug fit. You could even put LED or regular stop lights on them. Made of that Tuff Stuff Plastic that is use in kids toys. The relectors work good enought for me. Very easy MOD. Have fun link to pix's of complete MOD.

Lowes SKU's 1 #110855 3" atrium grates 2@3.53 ea.

donnyonee, mine are in about 1/2-3/4" in was a tight fit! The grates I used were from lowes Home improvement. If the ones you have are loose, I would either try a wrap of two sided tape or contect cement. Contact glue inside of tube and grate, wait 5-10 minutes then place grate into tube. Hope this helps. pinball
