i don't have nay of my tools with me while i am in san francisco and would love to relocate the scan gauge up top. Anyone willing to perform the mod if i send them the parts?

Just got a Scangauge for Xmass. Looks like i need to take apart the Smart. Thanks for the pictures.

Just be careful to tape down the wire so you don't accidentally run a screw through the wires.....VERY bad if you do that (don't ask me how I know )

Just finished this mod, wasn't that bad. Used a dremel tool with a rotozip bit to cut it close then just a sharp knife to finish it off. Installed the MCD cruse control also, took about 3 hours for both. I did have one other person working with me. I like the way it looks.

Small update. I changed the wiring few month ago and added the shorter cat5 cable with a coupler. This way it is more convenient to remove and install overhead console.

It sure look very good. I did mine by making two key hole slot on the top and have two screws put under the switch blank so as slide it in. I also have the cable shorten.
