ScanGauge II Setup...

What's going on everyone? I just received my ScanGauge II, and I was wondering what everyone was using for their Adjustment Factors.

Currently I have the following:

Engine Size: 1 Liter
Fuel Tank Size: 9 Gallons (Capacity is closer to 9 Gallons than 8 ;))

What are you all using for:

• Fuel Cutoff
• Speed
• Fillup

...and any other adjustments you can think of?

Additionally, do you have any Custom X-Gauge Commands you would like to share?

Thanks in advance all!

Ah..so you have to enter the size of the tank. So they do use a division from fuel level PID and trip since cleared codes PID. Interesting...

two things, first is all the information you seek, is scattered in a few threads on the board, and with some effort, you can dig em out. which leads to the second thing

(and this is not directed to you shanexman) how to make a Sticky on this gadget (if one has not yet been made)?

Hmmmmm....maybe we can take this thread and make a "Sticky" which will have ALL the information located in one place. I will start searching now... thanks ifish.

...and if anybody finds any information prior to me posting, feel free to chime in.

I'd also like this info, I've searched but not sure if I found what I was looking for or not.

Currently I set my engine to 1 liter set the tank to 8 gal for the fillup after I filled up with 7.3 gallons I put that info in, thats what I assumed I was supposed to do. Speed is set to 3. Did I miss anything?

Also when I check out the gauge section while not moving the rpms vary greatly from 943 - 964, with foot on brake. Is that normal?

I used this thread to figure out the setup I currently have: ScanGauge II 4 451 Setup

Lately I've been driving on the street, and the readouts since I put in my fillup info have been less than stellar.

Yes, the three small cylinders will not keep a very stable RPM at that low end. I've found that turning on the climate control fan to level 2 (even with AC off), my idle RPMs go up to 1045 or so and are more stable. Not sure why, maybe it's precompensating for the extra juice to run the fan? Voltage doesn't go down, and the change is instant. Turning fan to level 1 instantly changes RPMs down to the 945 range. Seems like a programmed response to input. Would they have actually done that?

I don't adjust mine for speed. My scangauge and GPS agree with each other.
