Smart MP3/Phone console installation DIY (Mystery solved)

Ok, here is my latest addition to my "Surfmobile".
I bought it first time over a year ago and then after checking the design and installation instructions I decided against it and took it back to the dealer.

Recently I bought Palm Pre and use it a lot in the car to stream the radio stations, podcasts and checking my e-mails. So, I needed good cell phone mount in the car.

Bought Smart MP3/Phone console again. Instructions are in German and also "LHD" markings on the top left of the instructions did not really helped the confusion. Used "Babel Fish" to translate it and it is not making any sense.

Below is MY instructions how to install this piece of German Engineering.

Here is the console and instructions.

.
Cut the provided template like in the photo below.

Pull the button bank and shove the tab on the template under (right in the center). Use masking tape to secure the template.

.
Mark the locations and drill the holes in the lower dash.

.

.
Template for the shifter console did not make any sense at all (even after I finished the installation, I could not figure it out how it can be used).
So I took the shifter cover off. There is circular recess in the shifter mechanism. If you miss it by half an inch you will not be able to install the MP3 holder.

.

.
Put masking tape on the shifter cover and mark the location of the hole.

.
Carefully cut the hole with a dremel.

Palm Pre can be charged with "Touchstone". Touchstone is inductive charger which is mean that you can charge your phone just by placing the phone on the charger. No wires, clips or docks. Phone attaches to the charger puck with a magnets placed inside the charger and phone backplate.

I attached the Charger puck to the Smart MP3 console with couple screws and run the power wire thru the shifter console cover. Nice and clean install.
