So which exhaust system is better?

DTH, CES or Evil Twin? I have the DTH myself. I didn't want to cut the valence or buy an altered valence for the CES.

How about a comparrison?

I "might" be selling my Evil Twin exhaust in about a week. This was Breathless Performance test exhaust that they used for 5 minutes on the dyno, which I NEVER installed...so it looks pretty much new. If I decide to go this route, I will be posting it up in the classifieds, so keep a lookout there if you are interested.

Do exhaust systems REALLY increase mpg? A new exhaust will be a hard sell to my partner.

They can increase or decrease your mileage depending on how they're tuned and how you use the extra performance.

My mileage increased by about 2 mpg (from 44 to 46) when I had my DTH installed by Smartune. However... the FIRST tank's mileage decreased because the extra power that the exhaust provides was fun to use. I had to go back to paying close attention to my driving technique on the next couple of tanks in order to see the gain.

If you just want an easy 2 mpg increase, pump up the tires to 35 front and 40 rear. Yes, the ride is slightly harsher, but c'mon the ride in these cars is already harsh. It's not like you're going to notice it. :-)

I've been enjoying my BP sport twin-tip exhaust. It sounds great and looks great.

But like knutliott said, I've seen a bit of a decrease in mileage because it sounds so damn good to accelerate, I've had a much heavier foot on the gas. Now that I'm getting used to the exhaust, I'm trying to drive it normally again. But the fun factor made the tiny decrease in mileage worth it.
