well to be honest some may like a SC over a turbo, the under hood temps tend to be lower and they have setain advantages over a turbo as turbos have their advantages, still be a nice option to have other than a turbo.

Arent superchargers (in general) more expensive than turbos? At least last I priced them..
If the turbo for the smart is $4k, I'd hate to see a supercharger, unless the smart breaks that rule.... of which I wouldn't doubt.
Oh and don't forget to take the level of psi from the turbo for limits to save ya the trouble... I forget what it was.
Either way, it would be a good second option.

I'd be more interested in a supercharger than turbo, but superchargers take up more real estate than a turbo, and I"m not sure the real estate is there.

Unlike turbos driven by the exhaust, superchargers have to be gear or belt driven. Where and how exactly is that supposed to happen given the limited space in the engine bay and the engine/trans layout? Maybe somebody could make it work but I'm doubtful...

That's the reasoning behind my statement. The supercharger can't be located where the turbo is, and I don't think there is room in the bay for a supercharger

I think it could be done, with a custom belt and bracket to hold a pulley. A lot of the newer style superchargers for imports are basically the cold side of a turbo with a shaft hooked up to a pulley that sits on the belt side of the engine. This allows the supercharger to sit remote from the belts. I think it's possible, and I think with enough work one could do it relatively affordably too.
