My smart was the test vehicle used by DTH. The latest version replaced an earlier model and the sound difference is quite noticable, I really like the tone and lack of drone. As an old guy, I appreciate the noise level...

The new SOLO side exit prototype is super quiet....very close to stock but much deeper tone. Polished can looks great. We should have them in a few weeks.

IMO its what alot of guys will want after they get a "too loud" exhaust. Exhaust tones are always subjective and one guys "too loud" is just right for another guy.

If more folks posted sound clips it could help others decide but usually the sound quality makes it tough to truly recreate the "in person tone"....

So...have more meets and listen to them yourself

Jon H, wow thanks that really gives me a good idea what to expect. 3db and 1db make a big difference.

SmartMadness, can you fill us in on any of the details for the new exhaust that Solo is planning on coming out w/? Are they going to be center dual tips? Are they going to be quieter than the current "quiet" dual tip Solo?

There will be several tip options (placement/ actual tip) but for the most part this will a great option for "stock like" placement with a very nice 6" flex pipe. Center oval and center dual tip will be available.

It is quieter than the current center tip outlet Solo we have and is just a nice option for those who need/want a more low key note but still want the power gains.

We are expecting them in about 3 weeks. We have already heard the prototype and we very impressed with how quiet it is under WOT yet still retains a deep tone. Side exit just like stock.

We are excited to get the production versions!

Now you're telling me!

I recently put an Evil Twin dual center on my car. The overall quality seems excellent, but as I reported previously, it does have issues.

After a couple of tanks of gas, the sound has actually changed. I think. Initially I wasn't thrilled with the sound quality, but it does seem to be changing into something more like what I expected. Or, I'm getting used to it, but I think the former. Initially, the tone was more of a whoosh, but it is getting deeper, which is what I want.

As far as the sound level, it is exactly what I wanted. Not too loud, but also not too soft. Stock is too soft, IMO.

My gripe is that the dual center is actually dual off-center. Not what I expect for a $700 exhaust. My next upgrade is a body kit (Kuhl-FX, maybe?) and when I do that, I'll have a welder splice in some different tips and center them. I still like the Corvette tips that the BPP uses. I think I'll go that route.

I'll post pics and a sound clip maybe this weekend.

In short, I would have been a perfect candidate for the dual center Solo, if'n I woulda known in time. My loss, but I'm disinclined to fork out yet another $500+ for what has been an exhausting upgrade :-(

SergMadness, thanks. Do you have any decibel specs on the center exit version? Also will you have a quieter center exit or just the side exit? Will it come w/ a template to cut? I'll wait to see what you guys come up w/ before I buy.

The new "quiet" exhaust will have a side exit only. The new version of the center exit will have both the dual tip and single oval tip options. Unfortunately I don't have any decibel readings but I will see if we can get them for reference.

Thanks for holding on, I know waiting is very difficult but these new systems will be worth the wait.

I do have a simple template we use in the shop for center exit installs. Pretty simple notch but please PM me with an email address and I can email it to you if you'd like.

Cheers!
