I installed one of the first Thorley side exhausts a while back and am very happy with it. Now I am approaching 10,000 miles and will coincidentally need to pass my state's (NC) emissions testing. Does anybody know if the exhaust will pass typical emissions testing? Many thanks......Vibrato
But I think the CAT was removed as it was a part of the assembly which came off the vehicle when the thorley was installed.....but I'm not sure, and the original assembly was fairly intricate. Anybody know about this....?

I believe that the piece of the exhaust that you are thinking is the cat is actually the flex-pipe portion of the exhaust. The cat is not part of the exhaust portion that is taken off and replaced by the DTH... Hope that helps...

Not unless you also purchased the new thorley header wich replaces the exhaust manifold. You probably only purchased the cat back hiflo mufler like everyone else.I think the price on the header is about the same so the 2 would've cost you around $700.
It depends on the state you live in, in mine all you need is for your car to not show a check engine light. They usually plug your car to a computer to moniter it. no check engine light= your good to go
Florida hasn't had any vehicle safety nor emissions checking in decades. I do not approve. We used to have it, they did away with it while I was living out west. It's crazy to not have it, especially the safety inspections.
The DT exhaust will not void ANY warranties. It is strictly a muffler replacement which is not part of your emmision system. The only part we make that will void smog warranty is the RACE ONLY header.
