What I did was sand off the texture with 220 grit dry paper.
Next I primed the parts with a plastic adhesion promoting primer.
I then put three coats of epoxy primer over that.
When dry, I sanded the parts with 400grit wet paper till smooth.
Then 99a black base coat, And two thick coats of clear.

I'm guessing as well as the rest of the front of the car.

That's a sweet ride Krusty. You worked hard, got it done and now it looks really really good!

Well done, my man.

The latest cruise

Update.
I got the latest cruise control unit from smart madness. This on has the Sprint Booster built in to the cruise. The Sprint Booster is adjustable. I found this to be the best way to go. I really do like having the ability to adjust the sensitivity. The unit will let you adjust it between 5 settings, factory to extreme. When I first installed it I set it to the quickest setting. After a few days I dialed it back to the #3 setting. Today I like the #4 setting. I could not be happier with the results of this cruise. It makes this car a lot more fun to drive. This unit is easy to install and operate. The best mod I have made to date.

Thanks SmartMadness!
