16.luca,
Thanks for the advice. A bit rougher ride isn't a problem for me.
I noticed a big difference when I put the spoiler on the roof, the wind whip seemed to be less. Now with the wide tires its even better. I'm looking forward to the springs.

I really like the retro look of the red stripes on your wheels.

I got the chip from smart madness. It plugs in to the gas pedal, takes seconds. as lebikerboy said, I'm sure your diesel chip won't work. I did take the chip off and sell it when I up graded to the cruise control that had the adjustable booster chip built into the cruise control unit. This is the route that I recommend. This car is so much better with cruise, I use it every day. The cruise unit from smart madness is easy to install, all plug and play. They give you great instructions including color pictures. I have installed this unit in several smarts over the last year. I can now do the entire job in about 40 minutes.

No it will not void warranty.

Update.

Carlsson quad tip stainless exhaust.
An Expensive upgrade,
Really worth every penny.
Love how quiet it is at highway speeds.
Sound like a German sports car going through the gears.
Stainless, all welded, no clamps and......
Over sized flex pipe!
No other exhaust out there of this quality.

I have not been this happy with a purchase in a long time.
Seems to have more power between 4200 and 5800 rpms.

Because of costs, some will stay away from Carlsson.
Ever hear the expression "you get what you pay for"?
So my recommendation to anyone thinking of a new exhaust.......
Try Carlsson, you will not be disappointed.

The installation was not to bad. I have been in there before.

The rear valance had to be cut wider to accommodate the extra tips. It would look better with smaller cut outs but It already had holes from the last split exhaust.

This car just keeps getting better.

Next on the list, Springs.

When I get good video I will post it, stay tuned.

I wanted a triple tip, but it doesn't yet exist.

Looking great Krusty. I love Lorinser and Carlson. They've been at Smart modding for a while so they know what they're doing.

Also, how has this affected your mpg? I imagine the upgraded exhausts (both of them) helped with hp and mpg. Did the 17s take you down a few mpg?

Well I just put the Carlsson ext. on so I'll let you know how it goes. The first one really didn't help out much on mpgs because I drove the car harder to hear it. And I seen no drop when I put the new wheels and tires on the car. Even driving the car like I stole it, it get about 37 mpg average. Keep in mind the closest Highway is 1 1/2 hours from my house. All my driving is below 55 mph.
