Tucker's Genius Exhaust System!

After 6 hours of cursing and turning wrenches, it's finally on!
I bought mhornfeck's Genius and on an impulse, decided to install it myself. I acquired the necessary tools and went to work.

Strangely, the catalytic converter heat shield took up 3-4 hours of time. I just couldn't get the screws to fit back in and it was driving me nuts.

Otherwise, I'm finding it pleasantly loud.

At low RPM, it kinda sounds like a Cherry Bomb Glasspack...But at high RPM, it sounds like a vicious racer!

You only needed to remove one heat shield bolt! That would have saved you so much time effort and frustration!

not a huge fan of blue, but i must admit that color looks nice, as does the install of your exhaust.

Got the screw in! I cheated.

I measured the stock screw (the flat bottom made searching for the nuts impossible) and found two pointed screws with the same threading. They found the nuts and were secured in less than 5 minutes!

The valence cut is perfect, there's enough space for the exhaust tip to vibrate without causing any problems, but there isn't so much space as so you could see behind the tip.

I reckon that if the screws for the heat shield were more cooperative it would've only taken me about two hours tops.

As for the exhaust itself, Matt's system is supurb! It isn't for people who like quiet though.

I have the same exhaust and love it, I didnt have to cut anything since Ive got the Brab, but you did an amazing cut. Looks factory! I got my exhaust without the divider in it and like the look of it better. Also love the blue/silver. So whats next? I want a CC, dunno if I want area 451 or the other one.

Looks great! I'm lucky, I normally don't loosen the heat shield. Has something to do with proper facilites, tools and being a contortionost too.

How long before you whine it's too loud? Seems a lot of younger people are a little lighter in the loafers and don't line their cars loud anymore. I say that and the kid next door put straight pipes on his V8 truck but for the most part a lot of kids don't seem to like loud pipes anymore. I always thought of it as an automotive right of passage.

So are you loving it or what??? I wish mine was baffled.

Are you kidding? In my neck of the woods custom exhaust noise is the new "quiet" LOL. I work in the gardens in the front yard alot, I tend to get a sore neck looking at all the ones driving by. In perspective, I live near an Amvet's which frequents alot of bikers. The vehicles now FAR out-noise the loud bikes that used to irritate me. Well at 2am anyway .
