What determines if the car will end up with +30hp or +50hp?

Yes it is true. Our turbo kit is almost done and will be in for production in about 4 to 5 weeks.

We are looking at doing about 3 to 4 psi boost and provide a tune for both the engine management and shift.

We set a date for the end of this week to work on the tuning side of the kit. At this moment the hardware is completly done. We should have more info and details within the next 2 weeks.

The pics are on my site.

to get a 50hp gain your going to need to run atleast 10psi boost

3-4psi will only get you 20hp

stock 451 turbos run up to a max of 7 psi approx depending on conditions, but as an average 5.5psi is what you normally get.. you can not increase boost to more than 9spi as the computer is out of range and no matter how much tweaking is done...

in reality the power outputs claimed and even so called dyno proven are inflated... its easy to lie to the dyno and get a higher Hp reading

in the pics it also appears that the setup isnt intercooled, there will be massive inlet temps especially after heatsoak, might wanna look into a cooler for it..

whats turbo is being used for the kit?

Beg to differ with you but if you run between 3 to 5 psi you do not need an intercooler. If you run 3 to 5 psi it could be tuned and to get beyond that you would need to add an injector with a controller to fire under high boost but then you have clutch and trans problems untill someone makes a stronger clutch for it. So the possibilty is there to make more then 30 hp but you would need to go further into the trans to make it work. By the way what is your experiance with turbos, we have been turbocharging Corvettes, Hummers, and Harley Davidson Vrods for years as a business.

As an example on our Vrods which are 1150cc we run 7 psi no intercooler and go from stock of 94rwhp to 146 rwhp with no problem.
