I followed Ckigars direction and mounted mine with earth magnets I purchased on Ebay for pretty cheap. I put two magnets on top of the Scangauge via 3m sticky tape. The two other magnets I put inside the console (after removing the panel-which was super easy). I had to tape them to the dash so they don't slide away if I remove the Scangauge.
It looks great and holds it very firm. The wires I tucked behind the Obd port. It looks like a professional installed it if I must say myself. It took me under 15 minutes. No drilling. No attachments. I love it.
another member of the german smart-forum installed his scangauge.
here some pics...
i think, i'm ordering mine soon. ;)
but i think, the install in my smart would be more like the one in this thread, because i got too much hifi in the dashboard.
I like the Blendmount solution, but has anyone actually installed the mount? The mirror arm on the 451 does NOT look like this mount fits, so I am asking if anyone has actually installed one. I have an e-mail question into Blendmount at this time and will post the reply I receive. This mount might require a "homemade" adapter.

Someone told me it wouldn't. I just have mine attached with heavy duty velcro and that has been working fine.
