Various button mods.

I was wondering is there is a way to temporarily disable esp. Since there is no button like there is in other cars, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make one.

Also, while thinking of this... I thought it would be nice to have a button that would allow me to open the tailgate without having to turn off the car, remove the key, and hold down the button on the fob.

There is another thread on this, to disable esp, pull the fuse, but be ready for an interesting ride!

Ahh... but in the 451, the only way I can find to open the tailgate glass is with the key fob. no handles on rear hatch, looks like there's a spot for one... but I think that is only used in the Cabrio.

P.S. I did do a search for esp mods, but didn't return any results... tried just esp too.

On the 451 coupe, hit the unlock button on the dash twice, then open the rear hatch by pushing in on the area under the lower hatch handle. The upper hatch will pop open just as though you used the key fob.

You're shooting in the dark unless you have a factory wiring diagram, which I don't think exist (yet).

That unlock/handle is located besides the rear license plate light, including on the coupé.

Hatch Release

There is a rear hatch release. The car must be unlocked first(via key fob, or internal unlock button), then use either the hatch release button on the key fob OR press the rear hatch handle from the underside (there is a pressure sensitive button there). I had to visit the dealer a second time to have them show me it.
Enjoy....

i modified the empty button on my dash to release the trunk. you still have to press the unlock button, but then you just press the button and it pops open. no using the key or having to press the button out back. here's my explanation:

Wanted: Button Bank Modification
