We are looking at becoming a manufacture of custom Smart Car products, What would you

We are looking at becoming a manufacture of custom Smart Car products, What would you like produced. We have been in the Corvette, Hummer, Vrod and Cobra business for over 10 years. We manufacture our own products which includes Air Induction systems Carbon fiber wings and winglets, Aluminum CNC products and much more. We also have our own dyno, do full tuning in house and support 3 race teams. We are seriously thinking of doing the same for the Smart car. We actually put a deposit down on one but are looking at a 5 month wait. If anyone has a Smart car already in the South Fl area we would love to get started in designing some products for the car. Please feel free to contact us. Until that time we are on hold on some new products in this new project.

I would also like to know what some of the stuff you all would like for the Smart car. Like interior billet products or exterior spoilers and such.

Ernie

Why have you repeat posted 5 times on the same forum?
This is a no-no and isn't necessary as most people click "view new posts" instead of trawling through all the sections.

Wow, even the hotrod boys want in on the action. The smart must be having any impact. How about a Cobra engine in the smart?

Which model do you want 530, 750 or 950 HP...lol

Just some quick notes on products we would try to come out with first. Shifter knob, Brake Handle, Gas cap door, Smart seat belt pads.

Performance: Ram induction system, Ported Throttle body, Custom Muffler and header. testing will be done on our dyno for performance gains.

Front and rear disk brake upgrade.

Exterior: Design our own front spoiler, rear upper wing or carbon fiber lip. Lower rear valance to fit both stock and the new center muffler.

If anyone has any input on this please let us know.

Ernie, FWIW, just my .02, etc. This is a $15K car; there may be people with lots of spare cash around who want to make it a $30K car but I'm guessing not many. Minor dress up items, sure, why not. Air intakes, etc. - maybe if there's a performance gain worth the cost (including lower gas mileage.) Rear wing - just say no! I've seen your stuff at the National Corvette Museum gatherings and can recommend it. Just not sure the smart will offer the same mod and tuning opportunities but it's your money, as they say.

Wheels (but may not be able to compete with Tire Rack, etc.), bolt on performance, body kits. See Flyingtigers in CA for examples of parts that seem to sell.

Could I please "just" have a clutch pedal! From reading the posts on the transmission, I think many would be happy with a fake pedal to give them something to do while the transmission shifts.

What a great idea! I can see it now!

Now available “Placebo Pedal”!!!!

I would love to see some sort of performance air intake, I would imagine anything would help with only 70hp !
