Evilution posts good stuff.

Yes. A DIY spot is good. The big problem is, has the poster performed the fix or is he/she just quoting hear-say?

Also can that person shoot decent photos, and write well enough for me, the DIY to clearly understand and do the job?

Evo does good work and I've read him for about a year. However the NA451 Smarts are a bit different from the Euro models and many of us now look here, and CSC for tech info, as well as Evo's site. Worth thinking about. A2Jack.

Threads like "I have new speakers" should not be allowed in that forum unless there is pictures with step by step instructions.

What do you think?

Thank you.

I think it's a great idea. Check out Ford Contour Enthusiasts Group as they have a nice breakdown of "Howtos", troubleshooting, and modifications. It is pretty nice, and very intuitive. I'd love to see a Fuel Economy section as well (yarisworld.com has a nice example), as the 451s seems like a great platform for such endeavors.

Being on other forum sites for fly fishing/fishing. There are stickys for how to's. Evilutions stuff is great however if I don't find what I am looking for then I have to do a search which usually ends up me going in circles because the information is found in some convoluted thread. This sometimes frustrates me. I look at the fq101 site that tells me how to pull the doors apart (great) however it doesn't tell me how to get them back on (the fun/hard part). I think there can be a couple of posters who can do this right, but I think there has to be some designated controller/moderator of the DIY who can give permission to add the DIY threads. This is how te y do it on those other sites.

So my opinion, a DIY section is a must. No disrespect to evilution. I just think it needs to be centralized and moderated correctly. You can tell certain individuals here are talented enough to rip apart the car and put it back together, problem is the ones who know just post that they did it. The ones who want to do it are a little bit non-techy/non automotive type and having a hard time visualizing the process. I do like having a unique smart but if I were in the non techy shoes I would love DIYs with good photos.
