Those cheapy Funnels from the $$$ store work great to keep spills down! Also, is there a recommended washer fluid? I totally messed up my BMER by putting in just the normal jug stuff from the auto store, it actually gummed up my resevoir. They just put in alcohol and water.

Oh Sure, Now I need to Own a Funnel to own a smart. The cost keep adding up. And then I would have to keep the kids from using the funnel at the beach, or as a snowman hat.

I have been trying to refill the blinker fluid but that required the left handed screw driver I don't have to get into

You should just store it in the Matrix

I always use a Deicer in every one of the cars, summer and winter. It seems like the blue stuff gums up the nozzles. My friend has a Prelude and every month or so we have to take the nozzles out and have to clean them out, and every time, a chunk of blue crud is in there!

We're a bit off topic, but I put touch LED's in mine as well. i used the light strip model attaching it with 3M molding tape after first applying 3M adhesive promoter. (The stuff that's provided on the light by Sylvania won't hold it.) With the 3M arrangement, it's been up for months and many miles over bumpy roads. Hopefully, when the heat comes it'll still hold as well.
Anyway, the light is bright enough to see and find things but no where near as bright as in the mods people did with LED's wired in directly. It suits my purposes, but I'd suggest you try it before you "glue" it on.

I am stupid...

Yes, if I say so myself, it's fine. (Don't say this about others!)
The other day, after reading this thread, I realized that I didn't fill the windshield washer fluid reservoir for the longest time. I tried it and it was empty... Thanks for the reminder.
But, after buying the jug at the local "Social Safeway" (good to -20ºF) and filling with the help of a funnel, I left the parking lot without realizing that I had forgotten to re-install the hood. From within the car, I can't see if the hood is in place or not... Coming down Wisconsin Ave. towards the heart of Georgetown, I noticed that a lot of people were looking at the car. No wonder. An attentive passer-by and his two teenager boys told me that "the hood is open"! I wonder how far I would have driven with the plastic pannel hanging by its two claws? Luckily, the speed wasn't high enough to result in it becoming loose...
So, it's not a windshield fluid idiot light that I need, but an "open hood"... like the "open gas tank flap"!
