Try driving off with the gas pump still attached to your car...

Front Flap or "hood" comes off by flipping two latches in the grill. It will be on the right hand side.

I try to maintain my Smart perfectly but after reading this thread I realized to my horror that I have never topped off my blinker fluid. I rushed to Pep Boys to pick some up but the stupid clerk said he had never heard of the stuff. My gosh, I hope they don't pay those idiots too much!

On the way out the door I ran into a somewhat disheveled gentleman who apparently overheard my request and said that he had a bottle of blinker fluid he would gladly sell me. The guy looked homeless, but obviously was far more knowledgeable than the clerk in the store, so I followed him out back where he rummaged around in the dumpster for an empty beer bottle. He told me he kept the stuff in a 55-gallon drum nearby and would fill the bottle and bring it back. He returned with a freshly topped off bottle of blinker fluid (still warm and somewhat frothy from the pouring process he assured me) and only charged five bucks for the whole 12 ounces. I'm really annoyed at Pep Boys for being so ignorant, but I feel lucky to have run into someone who could give me what I deserved. He seemed pretty pleased to have helped me out as well.

Now that I'm back home my only remaining question really is just where exactly is the reservoir for the blinker fluid? I've looked all over my car and can't seem to find it.

I'm so happy to be a part of this forum where I learn so much all the time!

Michael (with tongue firmly in cheek)
