Wheel shims and Spacers 450/451

I want to put as small of a spacer up front as possible so I did some googling and it appears there are 5mm spacers for the Smart! Actually I think the technical term for anything below 20mm is shim and 20mm and above is spacer. So here's the part.

Eibach Wheel Spacer Bolt Pattern 3x112, Center Bore/Hub Dia. 57, Spacer Width 5mm, System 1 2008 - 2009 Smart Fortwo L3 1.0L Part#: 90.1.05.026.1

The above link says it fits the 2008-2009, yet doing a google with that part number I keep getting sites that say 2007 (thus 450). The bolt pattern on these links say 3x112 and I don't know the bolt pattern on the Smart yet. I've done a bunch of searches on this forum and google and for whatever reason I'm not having any luck. Here's the google product search using that part number.

90.1.05.026.1 - Google Product Search

I'd like to order this 5mm spacer for the front of my Brabus if it'll fit a 451. Anybody know? I'm asking because I believe 450 wheels don't fit on 451s, but seems like I'm reading that the bolt pattern on 450/451 are identical but then that contradicts what I thought...anyway, I'm thoroughly confused and tired of doing searches so that's why I'm starting a thread.

PM Perbenz. He ordered some spacers for his 450, but perhaps his shop can order some for a 451 too. Not sure if they're the same or different though

We have some 10MM and 20MM available and if needed can make you 5 MM. Here are the links:

smart car wheel spacers - 10mm (set of 2)

smart car wheel spacers - 20mm (set of 2)

Thank you.

Is that the bolt pattern for both the 450 & 451 or are they different?

Thanks! Are your spacers Eibach or are they custom? I noticed there were different "styles", 1, 2, 3...

Also, do you have spacers for spring perches for the front suspension? Probably not the right word for it, but something along the lines of 3mm.

Are your shims different than these Eibechs (spelling?). The reason I'm asking is there seems to be different styles. I know the Eibechs 10mm are pretty much the same price as what Smart venders are selling their 10mm shims/spacers, yet the Eibech 5mm is a mere $70 for two, so I'm following that logic that if it's too good to be true...

I'm not looking to nickel and dime, but when it's nearly a third the price, I start to question why?

These shims are not made by Eibach
I believe the 450 and 451 ones are the same ,although I have never seen, ordered or sold the small-thickness ones for a 450, so I am not 100 percent sure. I can find out, if you like.
Here's a pic of a a 25mm pair of spacers I sold recently.These come with longer bolts,of course.

It is important to ensure that they come with TÜV approval

Thank you for the thorough response and picture! They look aluminum, which if they are then that would mean no rust issues.

Currently, I'm going to install spring spacers to lift the spring further away from the tire. Depending on whether the 205 wide tire is any narrower than my 215s will depend on whether I need a wheel shims/spacers. Widths of tires vary by manufacturer, so I won't know until I get the tires and install them. Seems the spring spacers that Breathless exhaust sells looks aluminum too.

I'd like to avoid shims if at all possible, because I don't want the wheels sticking out anymore than necessary in the front and I'm not sure if wheel locks lug nuts exist for the Smart in extended lengths.

It appears the 450 and 451 might be the same. I suppose it'd be beneficial to know whether they are interchangeable as websites certainly seem confused on whether they are 450 or 451 or both.

Thanks again!
