they already have a rear disc kit for the smar from smartune.net but its just a bit over budget.. 1800 dollars. so if someone could find a way for it to be alooooooooooooot cheaper ill be willing to do it.
Looking at it from a mechanical perspective it is not hard.
Like I said above, what could be done about the electronics as a form of compensating control?
Good point, however, just another adaptation of the speed sensor setup. The computer looks at the speed of each wheel which enables it to determine if one is spinning faster or slower(in the case of braking) and it then makes adjustments to compensate to get things back under control. The wheels each have a speed sensor so with the disc brake mod it's just a matter of making sure this setup is not disrupted. I have not looked at how this looks on the rears so I can't comment more, just to say it's not an insurmountable issue.
honestly if you cant do this one your self them best to just pay the extra and get the set that has been researched and is know to work. the first time any thing custom is done its almost 98% chance you have to change it or mod it again to make it right or the way you want it. If you pay some one to change it or fix it again it i will cost more in the end..
untill i get my own in house set up... Smarttune does have a very very nice brake set up. i have it in person and its well done and worth the $$$
